The homeowner was vacuuming her carpet when Service Champions technician Michael came to the door.
In her haste to answer the door, she knocked into her tower of DVDs and sent them flying everywhere.
Michael came in and saw the mess and immediately offered to help.
“I was vacuuming and when I heard you and I knocked it down on my way,” she said. “But you don’t need to help me.”
Michael told her it was no problem and reminded her that he likes to do ‘Good Deeds For Free.’
She relented and together they put the DVD tower back in order.
After they got it all cleaned up, they sat and talked for a few minutes. Michael had been there a year ago to the La Puerta home for a regular service. At the time her husband had been sick and he had passed in the time since.
“We talked and it was sad, but it was good to be able to sit with her,” Michael said. “She is a very nice lady.”
