Service Champions technician Jamison was at a home in Long Beach and was talking with the friendly homeowner.

“He was great – he was a retired surgeon,” Jamison said. “He stayed with me the entire tune-up to talk with me and get to know me.”

Near the end of the tune-up, the man asked Jamison if he might be able to help him with a problem he was having with his phone system. The home was quite large, and many of the rooms had phones in them, but the ringer volume on all of them were set so low it was often hard to hear.

Jamison told him he’d be happy to take a look to see if he could figure it out.

“I don’t know a lot about phones,” Jamison said. “But I was able to find a menu and work my way to the ringer settings.”

Once Jamison figured it out on one phone, he walked through the rest of the house and set each phone to ring louder. He also increased the font of print on the screen.

“When I was showing him how I did it, I noticed he was having trouble with the smaller print,” Jamison said. “I increased the font, so the screen would be easier to read.”

After about 15 minutes, Jamison had adjusted all the phones. The homeowners were happy to have their phones ringing loud and clear.
