Technician Jumps At Chance To Help Long-Time Clients
Many of our clients have been with us for years, and Service Champion technicians get to know them as they visit regularly for tune-ups and other services.
When our technician Frank was visiting long-time clients at a home in Placentia, he knew them well by now. He noticed that the grass had gotten very long and knew from previous visits the husband was disabled and the wife would have trouble mowing the lawn herself.
He spotted a mower and decided on the spot that he was going to get proactive and solve the problem.
“I just said to him, ‘I’m going to handle your yard for you,’” Frank said. “At first, he was like ‘What?’ and tried to get up, but he was having a hard time.”
Frank told him to rest and that he would take care of it. Although there was one problem.
“How do I start this thing – where’s the pull string?” Frank asked. The client explained it was an electric mower – you just hit a button and it fires up.
The grass was pretty long, so Frank took a weed whacker to it first to make it more manageable and then pushed the button and got the mower going to finish it up.
“He was appreciative that I did it for him,” Frank said. “It took me about 30 or 40 minutes, but I didn’t mind. I consider them friends after doing their tune-ups for so many years.”
Frank, way to step up and help – that’s a terrific Good Deed For Free!
