This Homeowner Now Has One Less Thing On Her ‘To-Do’ List!
Service Champions technician Andy was at a home in Azusa to complete a tune-up. The homeowner was telling him how she just moved in and there were a ton of little things she needed to get done.
As they were talking about it, Andy noticed a small hole in a hallway wall that was surrounded by peeling paint.
The homeowner noticed it too and said, “Yes, that’s one of the things I’ve been meaning to get to. I need to patch and paint it. Either that or put a plate over it.”
“What do you mean, put a plate over it?” Andy asked.
“Well, I bought this,” she said, showing him a wall plate she had. “Do you think it would work?”
“Yes, that would definitely work,” Andy said. “It even matches your light switch plates.” He went on to explain that using a plate would save her the trouble of trying to match the paint just to cover up one small spot.
“Well, you know, I could just go ahead and put that on for you right now,” Andy said.
The customer was polite and said he didn’t really need to do that.
“No, really,” Andy told her. “It’s super simple and I can take care of it for you.”
Andy knew he just needed to find the stud behind the wall. He had it finished in just a few minutes.
The customer was thrilled with the result and couldn’t believe how quickly it was done. She kept thanking Andy – she was happy to have something off her long to-do list!
Way to make your customer’s day with that Good Deed For Free, Andy!
