Technician Conquers Printer Problem In Time To Get His Customer To The Movie

The service call in La Habra was all wrapped up and Service Champions technician Erland had explained the work to the homeowner.

He finished up by telling her about ‘Good Deeds For Free’ and then asked, “So, is there something I can help you with?”

The customer just started laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Erland asked.

“There’s so much to do around here,” she said with a smile. “I wouldn’t know where to start.”

Erland encouraged her to pick something. She said, “Well, I have movie tickets to print out for me and my friends tonight, but my printer doesn’t work.”

Erland said he’d take a look. The homeowner couldn’t believe he was serious that he would actually help. The printer hadn’t been working for so long that it had been moved it out to the garage.

“We dug under some stuff and found it,” Erland said. “She wasn’t sure where the cords were, so I dug around some more and found them.”

After hooking up the printer to a computer, Erland realized he needed to go to the printer manufacturer website to download some updates. After about 30 minutes, Erland had ironed out all the issues and the customer had three printed out movie tickets in hand!

Erland described the homeowner as extremely happy and surprised by all the effort.
