National Philanthropy Day Award Winner

We were honored to be named Outstanding Mid-Size Corporation for National Philanthropy Day Orange County! We are so proud to give back to the community and join the many outstanding philanthropists, foundations, and companies who have made a big impact in Orange County. We are so grateful to MOMS Orange County for the incredible nomination. We look forward to continuing our partnerships with many amazing organizations, as well as continuing to spread kindness in our customers’ homes and throughout the community with our Good Deeds For Free program.

Autism is near and dear to our hearts. In 2009, Service Champions owner Leland Smith learned that his grand-nephew Caleb was diagnosed with autism. It was then that he committed to help fight for autism awareness. Once he shared this commitment with family and friends, he learned of others in his life that have been affected by autism.

We also heard from team members at Service Champions that have children with autism that wanted to join the fight for greater awareness.

Autism affects roughly 1 in every 68 children. Autism Speaks® is dedicated to promoting solutions for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

Service Champions first joined forces with Autism Speaks® in 2010 and since then, we have contributed more than $175,000. We look forward to continuing to help raise awareness and supporting the Orange County walk for Autism Speaks® again this year.

Service Champions is a proud annual supporter of Make-A-Wish Orange County and Inland Empire since 2010 and has donated more than $100,000, which has helped 18 local children to receive their heartfelt wish. A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses. For many, the wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illnesses. Doctors, nurses and other health professionals say, the wish experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better emotionally and even physically. That is why wishes matter. That is why we grant wishes. We look forward to continuing to help many more wishes come true for critically ill kids and their families when they need it most!

We recently began a partnership with MOMS Orange County, a local organization that is dedicated to newborn and pregnancy health. They help expecting moms access timely prenatal care, and offer prenatal and infant development classes for moms and dads.

Annual Turkey Drive at Service Champions

Years ago, one of our technicians, Frank Speer, came up with idea of spreading holiday cheer to families in need of a warm meal by providing turkey dinners across Orange County. Since then, each year we raise money from our employees as well as contribute as a company to buy Thanksgiving Dinners for people in the local community. This past year, we were able to provide over 500 full turkey dinners to different organizations including Veteran’s charities, the city of Anaheim, churches, and schools.
