Customer Can’t Believe He’ll Rake, But Technician Refuses To “Leave” Until This Deed Is Done

Leaves, leaves, everywhere.

That’s what Service Champions technician Dan saw as walked to his customer’s door. When he casually mentioned the leaves, the homeowner said that she really wanted to get to it, but well… she was just so busy all the time. Between working from home on her real estate business and taking care of her children and her dog, she just hadn’t found the time to get it done.

“It sounds like it would be helpful if someone took care of that for you. Would you let me do it for you?” Dan asked.

The customer said yes, but Dan could tell by her face and voice that she thought he was joking. Then Dan asked where she kept her rake.

“It’s around the corner. Wait, you’re really going to do it?” she said, opening her eyes wider.

“Of course!” Dan smiled, as he pointed to the ‘Good Deeds’ logo on the truck. “That’s just who we are at Service Champions. They hire qualified technicians, but they also want people who actually care about the community.”

In reality, it only took an extra 5 or 10 minutes to pick up the leaves.

But the customer was delighted nonetheless! Dan got a thank you, a smile, and a quick hug. Even her little dog seemed to be grateful – he stopped barking long enough for Dan to pet him!

Dan, great decision not to “leave” this problem for somebody else! You’re a real Good Deeds Champion!
