As part of our ongoing Good Deeds for Free initiative, Service Champions Plumbing, Heating & AC visited Miraloma Park to surprise local families with an afternoon full of smiles—and free ice cream.
A Sweet Surprise for the Anaheim Community
For this special event, Service Champions partnered with one of our favorite local businesses, Frankie’s Frozen Treats, to sponsor complimentary ice cream for everyone who stopped by.
Neighbors, families, and friends from across the community gathered at the park as the familiar music of the ice cream truck echoed through the neighborhood.
Before long, a simple giveaway became something much bigger.
Children raced toward the truck with excitement.
Parents gathered to visit with neighbors.
Friends laughed together under the California sun.
And our technicians traded their tools for ice cream bars as they handed out frozen treats to anyone who wanted one.
More Than Free Ice Cream
Who doesn’t love free ice cream?
But what made the afternoon so memorable wasn’t just the frozen treats.
It was watching complete strangers strike up conversations.
It was seeing kids dancing while music played from the truck.
It was the laughter, the smiles, and the sense of community that naturally unfolded throughout the event.
Our technicians spend most of their days helping homeowners with air conditioning repairs, plumbing issues, clogged drains, and heating systems. It was a refreshing change of pace to simply spend an afternoon creating joy in a neighborhood with no expectations attached.
